Pretty great Sichuan style restaurants in the are. The food has always been consistently good for us and even keeps well when ordered as delivery. We are big fans of the fried rice as well as the stir fried vegetables here. The restaurant itself is a little small but cozy. If you have a party of four I would try to get one of the booths in the middle of the room. Service is quick and professional and the food comes out quick. If you aren't a spice veteran you can certainly ask them to tone down the spiciness for you, they're very accommodating for adjustments. Plenty of vegetarian options as well if there are diet restrictions. Check them out if you get the chance to! They're popular enough that they recently expanded to Socal in Hacienda Heights!

We came here around lunch time and got seated after waiting in line for 10 mins. They were super busy but food came out pretty quickly. One thing I really love about this place is our server. He asked us if normal spicy is ok and I told him we can't handle a lot of heat and if he can make it a tiny bit less spicy. He told us there are certain dishes that are super spicy he will try to reduce the spiciness for us. Accommodated customers request in a way that we feel comfortable and he was super nice about reducing our spicy level which was super nice. Go early if you don't want to wait in line since this place has lots of people. Highly recommended. Nice & friendly staff. Food was delicious by the way

Finally got to try their Fremont location. Ping's specializes in 长沙 cuisine and it shows. We got their 糖醋排骨 and the ribs were stiff and cold. However, their other dishes were much better. Their cauliflower dish was quite crispy and refreshing. It comes with sweet bell peppers to compliment the heavier pork fat flavors. Their 肥肠 and 猪脚 were quite authentic. I was quite impressed with their savory and spicy flavor as it is the same kind of stuff I would get in China. Ping's is a solid place to get a taste of authentic 长沙 cuisine if you know what you are looking for.

Ping's Bistro in Fremont offers some truly delicious and spicy dishes that are worth trying, but be prepared for a long wait. Despite having a reservation, we ended up waiting 1.4 hours to be seated. We arrived at 6:55 PM and didn't sit down until 8:15 PM, which was definitely frustrating. That said, the food made up for the wait. The Spicy Sichuan Fish was the highlight of our meal--perfectly cooked with tender, flaky fish swimming in a fiery, flavorful broth that left our taste buds tingling. The Spicy Sichuan Beef was also excellent, with just the right amount of heat, and the Kung Pao Chicken had a great balance of spice and flavor. The Dan Dan Noodles were rich and satisfying, with a spicy kick that we loved. While the wait was long, the food was fantastic, so if you're a fan of spicy cuisine and have some patience, Ping's Bistro is definitely worth a visit. Just be sure to plan for a possible delay, even with a reservation.

I think Ping's Bistro is pretty amazing. We had the salted egg pork, preserved egg in chili sauce, and sautéed pork kidney and pork tripe. We love the flavors and the service is outstanding. It is a casual place, but is not a bad place for a date.

My friend and I love Szechuan food, so I'm always searching for new Szechuan places to try! My go to's are always mapo tofu, spicy fish fillet in chili oil, and chongqing spicy fried chicken. I first tried Ping's bistro around a year ago and I remember it being amazing! We got spicy fish fillet (which was super smooth), a lamb chop dish (which was super flavorful and not too gamey), and an eggplant appetizer (which was slightly tangy, nice and refreshing). That's all to say I've been meaning to come back and try all my usual go to dishes! So I went back to Ping's bistro today with my mom, and we got the usual mapo tofu, chongqing spicy fried chicken, and a beef tripe appetizer. The mapo tofu was so good! Super flavorful, good chunks of meat in the sauce, and the tofu was so soft and smooth. It was a little bit salty though, so definitely need to load up on the rice. The fried chicken was good, but they cut up the pieces quite small, so each piece wasn't as satisfying. I've definitely had better at other places. The beef tripe was decent. It was nice to balance the heat of the other dishes with a cold dish (though still spicy cause I love that spice)! I didn't realize that it would come with small bits of century egg though, which is not my favorite. Overall decent, but I wouldn't order it again. Finally, I got an iced kumquat drink with chia seeds and it was fantastic. Perfect way to cool down after a spicy meal! If I'm in the mood for Szechuan food, I'd definitely go back! Still want to try some of their other dishes.

Pings bistro offers an exhilarating dining experience with its bold, spicy flavors, heavily featuring peppers and Sichuan spices. The dishes pack a punch, delivering a fiery yet tantalizing taste that leaves a lasting sting on the tongue as the numbing spice is powerful! (Some say the spice will make your eyes blue if you consume for a long time) For those who relish intense heat and authentic Sichuan cuisine, Pings bistro is a popular spot for many Chinese folks and if you are looking for quality & spicy Chinese food - this is it!

Pings bistro is a restaurant based mainly in spicy, Chongqing style Chinese cuisine, with the original location on Fremont Blvd, Fremont. It opened its doors years ago as part of a burgeoning scene of spicy Chinese food in the bay area. Since then, they've opened a few locations as their consistency and quality have shown through time and time again. My family and I came here on a sunday. We were a relatively large party of 7 (which I definitely recommend making a reservation for if you also hope to eat here with as many). The host greeted us and we were seated quickly, even though it was a few minutes prior to the reservation time. Once inside, we were greeted by an intoxicating aroma of chilis and wok hei. We ordered numerous dishes, all of which had the depth of flavor and also aroma you would expect from a place this popular. Even though it was crowded, the service was quick and attentive.

(This visit was in August 2023, but TIL there's two Ping's Bistro in Fremont) Stopped by for a quick lunch with some out of town friends, but they were quite happy with the food. Not a small feat since one is a Hunan native and they both live in Hong Kong where quality Chinese cuisine is aplenty. Portion sizes feels scaled up with the prices, so value is there alongside cleanly executed dishes and a simple but clean interior. Definitely some of the better stuff in the area! Servers are a bit harder to get a hold of though, so expect a bit more of hands-off service. We were quickly seated and informed of the 39miles QR code ordering system (so menus are all online). Food came out pretty quick (15min) and drinks got brought out upon request (water + hot tea), though tea was served in regular glasses and without a pot. Generally responsive when we could get their attention, so just be ready to be a bit louder if you need something. ==Mao style braised pork - 5/5 Braised to a nice rich flavor with a good ratio of fat to meat. Certainly a drier prep than I've had at other places but delicious all the same. I did notice peppers in the dish but it wasn't particularly spicy. ==Pork with bamboo shoots and peppers (?) - 5/5 I didn't directly order this one so I forget it's name, but definitely the spiciest thing we got (even I had to eat around the green peppers to not saturate my heat tolerance). Veggies were fresh and the pork was moist so no critiques on this one either. == Eggplant with string beans - 5/5 The veggies felt particularly plump and colorful in this dish; generally hit every note of its crunchy beans and rich soft eggplant quite well. Mildly spicy, but quite tolerable for most folk.
